Dr. Shijie Wang is currently a Senior Scientist and leader of advanced ceramic materials at Institute of Materials Research and Engineering (IMRE), A*STAR (Agency for Science, Technology, and Research), Singapore. His current research focuses on materials surface treatment, materials interface engineering, advanced ceramic materials growth and coatings, etc. He has led more than 10 aerospace and defense related projects/programs on advanced ceramic materials development.  He obtained his Ph D in Physics from The National University of Singapore in 2002. He has published more 200 papers in international journals and holds about 20 patents.
